Default Ng Scrim - Second One

Well, the first one went fairly damn well in my estimation, so we're going to try and get the second one even bigger. So we're giving you plenty of notice for this one, as I think the plan is to run these community scrims every other week.

So...Here are the details:

Date:
Saturday, June 6th at 9:00 pm EASTERN

Maps:
Round 1: de_cpl_mill

Round 2: de_train
Round 3: de_contra

We're going to be introducing in cpl_mill and contra for those who are not used to playing them. I recommend you take these <2 Weeks to familiarize yourselves with these maps. If you don't have these, you can find the downloads here: http://fastdl.noobgalore.us/cal/maps/

How it works:

**12 Round Halves this time**
**16k start money**
**1:45 minute rounds**

All people wishing to play will be in the 'Scrim Lobby' channel at start time.
We will then ask for captains, anyone wishing to be a captain will be moved to seperate team channels
Then we will start the team selection process. Captains will choose 1 player at a time out of the pool of players in the 'Scrim Lobby' channel, and admin's will move players to their respective channels.
**This time we'll be making sure all teams are relatively fair**
Once teams are settled, servers will be assigned and round 1 play will commence. Team 1 vs Team 2, 3 v 4, etc...

Winners will play each other and losers if they wish

***Note: This is meant to be a fun event within the NoobGalore community***

Same here, but usually around that time, I'll probably be eating dinner.

Things to focus on in de_cpl_mill

http://www.teamamalgamation.com/imag...591pg91p20.png
Changes to the picture:
- A Boxes = SA1 (storage area one)
- B Boxes = SA2 (storage area two)

This map is the layour of mill. Basic CT side setup involves 2 guys at B stairs (which I usually call spiral), 1 middle player, 2 A site players

Another thing to notice with the picture is that there is a sewer system which runs underneath this map, with three exits. One at each bombsite, and an entrance hidden in the back of SA1.

Good T side strats on this map involve quick, rushes all at once with clever uses of smoke grenades and flashes to block off rotation, which is also fast paced on this map. These rushes don't have to be right at round start, as CTs can pretty much set up anywhere they'd like before it would matter, so feel free to try and pick, then rush as a unit later in the round.

Other things to add in are sewer rushes and even rushing sewers and the bombsite itself at the same time. A nicely timed entrance into the A site can throw a team off gaurd fast.

================================================== ===========

de_train

http://forum.dekonia.com/photos/albu...de_train~1.jpg

This map is a toss-up map with how you'd like to play on both CT and T side. CT side usually plays 2 B, 1 watching T connector, 1 watching ladder train, and the 5th watching Ivy. My team has found a strong B player can usually hold the site off until a player can rotate and help, which also strengthens front yard, so a 1, 1, 3 (B, Mid, Front yard/ivy) works as well.

T Side is also depending on how the team plays. B site assualts are usually rush the hell out of lower B and push through the site rapidly before rotations can happen. The other way to assualt B is to have an awper pick the top route into site. Look for a strong player to be playing B solo though, as most teams opt to do this method.

Front yard is a most common spot to get picks from. You can assault front yard from ladder, T connector, and Ivy, all of which can be opened up by 1 kill each. Doing this could give you an advantage into taking front yard out and forcing CTs to rotate into you.

The key thing on train though is teamwork strats. This map has the most angles out of any map in 'our' rotation, and requires that every spot be checked **especially under the trains** each round.

================================================== ===========

Contra: (my fav map)

http://cs.ingame.de/gfx/css/de_contra-overview.jpg

This map is layed out for evenness. Both sites are adequate to rush out, and held by a default 2-1-2 setup. A site has upper and lower: perfect for two A guys to play. Middle should be a strong player who can call the B cross and control middle as well. B guys should be ready for box room rushes, as well as plank rushes too.

T side strats are usually similar to that of Dust two strats. You can split Bomb site A, rush middle, and the only difference is the possibility to split B. Key things to note on this map are the sewer systems that run from Lower A to bombsite B, which can be utilized for quick rotation.

Strats are fairly basic, but alot of 'fakes' should be run since alot of CT side teams like to rotate quickly. Look for this map to be fairly even sided, with a few close matches.

i suggest to keep contra and move train or have contra played before train because i'm sure that most people have tried playing train before whereas not too many people have played contra.

btw what is normal round time?

That's why we're giving you >10 days notice for these maps.

Normal round time is 1:45 seconds. Some ppl did suggest we go lower, so i'm making sure people know just by stating it.
