I do actually, any time anyone offers a suggestion I quickly suggest they should come on here and suggest it themselves because it would carry more weight. No one ever does, which leads me to believe they really don't want it that badly. Or that people are just lazy. More likely the second one. Ill make suggestion bind, that might work...

binds are good but connecting with a player is the best. the more you talk to them and connect with the regs...the more powerful it is than binds.

I kinda have an idea on the SK server. I think at the places it has purple and black we could put the servers there, and mabye even the websites that NG has.

Hey everyone,

People in the NG SK server know me as Nannerz or Dece. I've come to put my two cents in... I started off playing SK in the NG server, got to know all the regulars that usually kicked my butt. I learned to strafe in this server, not really knowing what was out there for other SK servers. After a good bit of time I looked around for other servers and found many others with a much different gravity setup (seemed to be consistent with most other servers I went to). With that being said, I had to learn how to strafe again. My point in all of this is to try and have the server settings changed to allow all the people who come to learn SK and progress their skill levels to be able to do so in the environment that wont cause them to have to change their playing styles before going on to the big league....

Anyways.... For scrims and other pub servers not including NG there is a lower gravity and a higher air acceleration. The two changes that I personally think should be made are as follows...

sv_airaccelerate set to 700 or anything above 500
sv_gravity set to 220 rather than its current state of 200

Thats all for me. Take it or leave it

We've actually recently talked about changing the grav and air accel but most of us came to the conclusion that we would rather be unique in our own way, leaving the grav and accel. I as well as you know that tons of people complain about it as soon as they come into the server. But in all honesty I think we should do us and they can do them, and leave it at that.

I've suggested going back to the old settings we had for grav and air accel, but it is what it is.

I hate servers such as Noobsalad with wayyy to much air accel, and no block. I appreciate our uniqueness however I don't know if equalizing our server with everyone else is the right choice. Much of our clientele comes from people who come there solely for the difference.

Well Good luck getting Team random to join the fourms >.> , not many regs , i was busy moving last month and i just got my net a few days ago, if anything that needs to happen, is there needs to be like a window that you have to shoot in the middle of the map on the floor to prevent getting shot as the round STARTS because spawning then dying is annoying and it doesnt give us time to move out of the way sometimes.

True! I have to agree with Acolyte

We are unique and it should stay that way. I honestly hate it when people come in and just think as our SK server as just another pub server. It's nice when we have people that come in and play based on how they like how we are (especially for the people that dont really know how to play SK) its a good learning experience. I try as much as I can, when I see someone struggling to strafe and offer to teach them, so that they keep coming back and want to get better and better.

But I do agree that a few minor changes here and there wont hurt the server.
