Thread: 100 tick possibility?

100 TICK WORKING HERE - Steam Users' Forums
saw few servers with 100tick its free to setup just config would change and better reg.
hopefully people would like this when they lookup servers and it would help keep the population up and higher!
any thoughts?

That tread was made in 2010 It currently does not work and would be a waste of resources on the server. After all of the updates over the last 4 years unfortunately every server that says it is 100tick. Is not at all 100tick. And are using a cheap gimmick to produce it. 66tick is the best for CS:S currently.

I kind of blame Vlave because instead of reworking the hit boxes to make up for the huge over sized ones that 100tick exposed they just put a little bandage on it instead of reworking the code from the ground up.
So basically the final conclusion there is no difference between a 66tick and 100tick. For now in the current CSS. Its only in your head that its better 100tick. Valves programming does not allow for it to truly be the 100tick server you remember in old CS:S. Everyone is forced 2 the new programming of 66tick weather it says it or not.

lol giggles i was just reading the updates that valve made and ur right, and yeah i saw theres some code with a config to boost or change it from 66 to 100 tick but its not the same as you said. thanks for clarification tho homie earlier i saw some cracked source code servers pushing 128tick, but they were only 20 slot tho =/
