SETTING UP AND JOINING VENTRILO FOR THE FIRST TIME

STEP ONE: Download and install the correct version of Ventrilo for your operating system.

STEP TWO: Open Ventrilo, below is the first screen you should see.

STEP THREE: Setup a username:
Click the button show in the screen shown below.

When the following window pops up, click the button 'New', enter any username, and close out ALL windows by hitting 'Okay'.

STEP FOUR: Setup a server:
Click the button shown in the screen shown below.

In the picture below, copy the IP(216.6.224.104) and port(2008) into the corresponding fields, and then proceed to the step below. Don't worry about a password. After logging in for the first time and getting registered, someone will help you with setting up a password. IMPORTANT: Setup a server name by clicking the button 'New'. Enter any name you want for the server, and close out ALL windows by hitting 'Okay'.

STEP FIVE: Connect to the server:
Everything should be setup now. Click the 'Connect' button shown below. Notice the highlighted fields. The boxes will be showing all the information you just setup. Should you ever want to create a new username, or join a new server, just repeat the steps for entering a username and server. The dropdown arrow(s) will allow you to switch between usernames and servers.

AFTER CONNECTING FOR THE FIRST TIME:
Below is the first window you will see, and because you are a first time user you will need to wait in the 'Needs Registration (Wait here to be registered)' channel near the top. You can see my name, [Hideout A] John Wayne, in the channel already. You can join any channel by double clicking the name of it, but you won't be able to be heard in most of the channels until someone officially registers you. The only people capable of registering you will be people with an [SSA], [SA], or [GA] in front of their name. Feel free to PM any of these people to help you get registered.
