Thread: How to use CSS weapons

When I first started playing CSS one of the biggest questions I had was how to use the weapons properly. So, I figured why not help out the new guys and tell them how use the weapons and their strengths and weaknesses. For you guys that a very good at certain weapons this is the place to help out the new guys and even some of the old timers and let out some of your secrets. Here is some suggestions on what to reveal about every weapon.

1. Long distance
2. Accuracy (recoil)
3. Power of the weapon
4. How many bullits does it hold
5. Should you hold down the trigger or tap it.
6. where to aim to get the best results.
7. General weaknesses (ie. long to reload)

Just try to give as much information about the weapon as possible. Plus some secrets to make you better at using that weapon. Please dont make it about what weapon is the best, but just information about that weapon.




I will start. As we all know I am elite with the M249 (AKA the Para)
1. as far as long distance goes it is terrible. If you are going to try to shoot soome one from long didtance make sure you aim at him and tap on the trigger.
2. Accuracy is not to bad but it does have quite a bit of recoil, but a good weapon to have at close range. (rushing weapon)
3. As far as power goes it will take approx. 4-5 shots to the body to kill a person, but when it come to rushing into a group of players you can easily get off several head shots in a row.
4. It holds 100 rounds before you have to reload.
5. I dont suggest holding down the trigger button due to its recoil, but if you are taking on a bunch of people at the same time spray and pray for the best.
6. I would suggest aiming at chest area due to ite recoil. the recoil will take the crosshairs to the head area.
7. The weapon take a long time to reload, so I suggest reloading before rushing in and dont do any useless reloading. Thats when someone will come out and rape you in the face.

Lets try to get every weapon on here!!!!!!!!!!

Fiveseven

1. I've found that it isnt that great for distance,
2. The accuracy is great and recoil is minimum, definately a great close range fast shooter.
3. It's very weak as far as power, I have emptied an entire fivseven clip and hit the target 7 times still not killing them.
4. dont remember right off hand how many bullets it holds.
5. tap the trigger it since its a pistol, lol
6. aim for the head otherwise you'll be shootign all day long to kill a target.
7. The general weakness i gotta say is its very small damage...

overall I'de say this pistol is still my fav do to the accuracy, so regaurdless of its weak power if you aim right you'll get a headshot kill in 1 or 2 shots. If you tend not to aim for the head I'de recomend something like burst fire glock or deagle.

The AK 47

1. Long distance- Very good for long distance....and for short distances...its better at short distances.
2. Accuracy (recoil)- this gun has ALOT of recoil
3. Power of the weapon- the ak47 has alot of power..
4. How many bullits does it hold- 30 rounds per clip.
5. Should you hold down the trigger or tap it- TAP it....i usually shoot 3 to 5 bullets at a time
6. where to aim to get the best results- aim high for the head.
7. General weaknesses (ie. long to reload- weaknesses is the massive recoil.

AK-47

1. Great at distance (one of the most accurate rifles)
2. Its accuracy is great for the first 2 shots. After that that gun has massive recoil (DO NOT SPRAY WITH THIS GUN)
3. Very powerful (1hs = death, armor or no armor) 3-4 chest shots will kill (w/armor) 4-5(w/o armor)
4. 30 bullets
5. single shot or 2 shots. BEST STRATEGY: one or two shots, strafe, one or two more shots, strafe
6. Always aim for the head. This gun was made for headshots, if you dont get the head you will have a hard time killing people. But if your able to get the headshot, you will kill a massive amount of people.
7. The AK's weakness is close range and the spray. Its firing rate is not as fast as the m4 that is why it is not meant to be at close range.

Overall, This gun is one of the most used weapons in CS:S next to the deagle, AWP, m4.

AWP(Magum sniper for the nubs)

1. The best long range gun if you get skilled with it hands down..
2. first shot will be most accurate, then from there either no scope or quick scope due to recoil
3. you will probably get a lot of haters due to this guns being mainly a one shot one kill gun, but you can hit them in the leg for 80+ dmg(not killing them) which is bs
4. 40 i believe total, 10 per clip
5. its a sniper so..flick
6. THE HEAD.
7. none. jk, uhh if your against some auto weapons and you are a bad awper you will probably get owned, however learn to no scope/quick scope, and work on reaction time and accuracy in coordination to be godly

notes: never move around and shoot obviously but i see people doing this constantly. and try to hit the other guy before he shoots you cause he will most likely die from this gun

DEAGLE

1. Long distance: It really depends on how you play. I can deag ppl from a good distance. But mostly used it for close, quick, situations.
2. Accuracy (recoil): Minimum
3. Power of the weapon: Most power pistol ever
4. How many bullits does it hold: 42: 7 per clip
5. Should you hold down the trigger or tap it.: Tap it like it owes you money
6. where to aim to get the best results.: Head, one shot kill
7. General weaknesses (ie. long to reload): 7 bullets till reload

2. Accuracy (recoil):just aim at low chest level when spray and you may get a hs, otherwise just snipe with it or camp
3. Power of the weapon:very powerful if you hit the target during the spray
4. How many bullits does it hold:not enough
5. Should you hold down the trigger or tap it.:if theres an enemy near you
6. where to aim to get the best results.:chest during spray, head lvl when sniping and camping
7. General weaknesses (ie. long to reload):reload

M4

1. Long distance: Its not scoped but if you can aim with regular crosshairs then you can go the distance
2. Accuracy (recoil)1: Silenced: Very accurate, minimum recoil, 2: Un-silenced: Ok accuracy: More recoil
3. Power of the weapon: Unsilenced more powerful then silenced
4. How many bullits does it hold 150 : 30?
5. Should you hold down the trigger or tap it. Hold to spray, burst fire is the best
6. where to aim to get the best results. Head
7. General weaknesses (ie. long to reload) Its a pretty even gun.
