    Default League / Competitive CS:GO

So this is me being a nub looking for a lil advice from you guys with experience in Competitive play.

I competed back in CS beta some, a LITTLE in CSS early in its life. Now I'm going to make a go at it in CS:GO. Where is the best place to start?

Just guessing I'd get a ESEA account, start scrimming, meet some ppl who will adopt me and teach me some strats, and go from there? I know this sure sounds nubish, but I've pubbed for so long I dont have a clue what to do haha. Wanted to make sure I was "sorta" on the right track before I payed for the ESEA. haha.

    Thanks in advance - weep.

Death match everyday and pug a lot, then once you get back into it start to scrim a lot. After that try to get on an open team for next season.

I wish I had the time for competitive.
I would recommend playing a lot so you won't look like a total noob .
I hate cs go but you might have a shot at it.

Deathmatch. Deathmatch Deathmatch Deathmatch. But don't Deathmatch too much. Only play for about a half hour at a time, then take a break and do something else because after 30 minutes, the brain stops learning anything new from a task.

I just jumped into ESEA and got my ass handed to me. It was still fun, but get a little good before paying for it.

As most people in this thread have said, DM is important. However, it's important that you also play all the maps and get to know them inside and out. That way, you can start to see good strats for rushes, good positioning for covering bomb sites, and so on. To put it simply, practice makes perfect.
