Thread: Just made little over $100 on CS:GO

I Got a crate drop in game and opened it up and a very rare AK47 with StatTrak on it in Factory new condition
I noticed there were NONE on the market place (others were well worn, field tested, etc, but no factory new which is the best condition)
I sold it for $125 and with valve taking its piece i got a little over 100$ off of it.

See pic for verification. This is the first time i probably sold ANYTHING over a $1 on the steam marketplace. Sometimes it pays to exploits people weakness to having THE BEST in game and showing it off. i certainly didnt need it.
Now i know how people playing DOTA2 and TF2 with hats feel selling items to some people.

How did you know how much exactly to sell it for? Did you compare other guns and just came up with your own price or was it already made.

2 of the same were sold in the past week. one sold for 110 the other for 80. Marketplace gives you how much/many items were sold during a certain time range. also there are sites that show the average median. The other conditioned guns were going for 60-80 and this was the rarest other than the AWP and knives. With AK47 popularity, i knew i had a good drop from the get go

100$ is really nothing.

A hat in tf2 is called Team Captain

with a burning flames effect it costs a lot of earbuds, in march a person paid 115 earbuds for that hat.. and at that time.. earbuds are $59.76 each

so.. 59.76 x 115= 6,872.4 $

someone paid roughly 7k USD for a hat in tf2. Go figure.. lol

LOL gamers are so sad. But then again I've known a lot of gamers that spend $100's on gaming equipment thinking it would make them a better gamer. Granted what they got is actually tangible but in some way shape or form that is still money wasted. It's kinda like when I argued with my friend that a $20 softball bat and a $200 softball bat will work the same on an ameture regardless b/c they don't have the skill to fully utilize the equipment's advantages.
