A word on afk and spec.

I thank you all for your patronage on the CH server. In order to keep our numbers up in the server, we try not to kick specs. We know most of you are prolly in the can, getting a sandwich and so on. But please for future reference if you are going to be afk for more than 5 or 10 minutes, please go into spec. This ensures that you stay on the server during your short hiatus to the can and whatnot and also doesn't leave the team you are on shorted or uneven. This allows the server and the admins to more easily even the teams when necessary. A team that has 14 players on it only really have 9 if five are afk and not in spec mode.

Also, please do not get offended if you are switch to the opposing team. Admins such as myself do this using the auto balance option in our mani options menu occasionally. Its nothing personal as it simply chooses people on its own when used. The server also does this on its own but sometimes takes a while to do it. At some point an admin may ask someone to switch to even the teams also as the server is quite a bit busier than it used to be.

Lastly, as admins we are players too and may not notice if you have a few afk's on your team for longer than 10 mins. Please let us know.

Totally agree revrend. ALthough when i am on and even teams i just say does "some1 want to go T/CT. If not 1 person will be chosen at random" normally we have cool people on that will change which is good. Yeah AFK's even if it is just a couple of minutes afk type 'spectate' in console. revrend i think maybe saying this in admin chat once awhile will help us as many people don't know how to do it. we should just make a message saying, "If you are going AFK type spectate in console please"

Yea i received some complaints on it so thought Id put up some info on it. I does irritate me when we are up against 15 cts and 5 of our T's are are afk for a while. At the very least noone should have kills that easy.

Ah, I didn't know you could type spectate into console...I always either let myself die and push M or just disconnect and rejoin the game. Good to know. And yeah, if one of you guys asks to even the teams, I'll usually switch.
