I think you are misunderstanding the problem here.
Before the update when a player was killed his body would stay on the ground for about 4 or 5 seconds and then disappear. This had nothing to do with Client Side settings it was set on the server.
Now all bodies remain on the ground until the end of the round, obviously the update changed something on the server that we have been discussing.
after Adam/Paul applied teh fix a person killed woudl just vanish.
I did not have to change any client side settings when I played CH for the bodies to act the way sas described.
If it can not be fixed so be it, I was just reporting what was happening in teh server.

I completely agree with all of that. However, from past experience - valve misses stuff. This is just a quick fix. if you like seeing the bodies, set cl_ragdoll_physics_enable 1, and change the fade times of the bodies.
You can adjust all of these in-game to see the results instantly. If you run net_graph 3, you'll notice a huge boost in fps with cl_ragdoll_physics_enable 0.
Also, there is a multiplayer decal limit option under the multiplayer tab/advanced that might help. (nvr thought about that)
I haven't seen any dead bodies b4 or after the update. (This is why autoexec.cfg's are soooo very important IMHO)
btw... valve is always taking out/replacing convars... over-time they'll be errors in the console saying unknown convar - this is nothing to worry about bc the autoexec only has to run once. I made my autoexec back in march, and there are like 5 or 6 unknown convars now.

valve is always taking out/replacing convars... over-time they'll be errors in the console saying unknown convar - this is nothing to worry about bc the autoexec only has to run once. I made my autoexec back in march, and there are like 5 or 6 unknown convars now. it makes no difference.
cl_ragdoll_physics_enable "0" is the only convar necessary when eliminating dead bodies all together. All the others were just stragglers in the process of tweaking an autoexec.
