Thread: A Quick Alert For Admins ? STOP THE HACKERS

I'm curious if we could set up an alert so the players could get ahold of an admin when they are afk . Perhaps a way to send a steam message to a cell, or a member on the site send a message through the webpage that would go to his or her cell. Would have to someway link it with phones ... let me know if this makes any since or is even half ass ration,please excuse my horrible grammer.

dont we already steam message or go on vent to tell them that there is a hacker? i mean if they're afk, then they are probably afk.

I would say just hop on vent or on the chatbox but no one is around to hear ya, just take a demo and eventually someone will tend to the problem.

I would imagine that most admins wouldn't go for this idea, and understandably so. I think the methods of contact available at this point are appropriate. Phone alerts is probably a small step too far. Vent, Steam Chat and the forum chat box are adequate. If somebody gets a phone alert but hasn't responded to vent/chat messages, chances are they are not in position to do anything about whatever the problem is. I'm fairly sure there will be some added admins soon to help alleviate issues.

the alert system in place is perfectly fine.
the problem with it is the lack of active admins.

today at peak time in the hideout server there were two known wall hackers.
i scared one off my talking about the stuff he had public on his profile and i messaged adam his steam id, but ALL of the admins were afk.
the other hacker was as shitty as yammy tho and nobody told me his name for me to scare him off.
i shouldn't be having to do that tho when there were to admins afk in the server.

It's just not important enough to resort to contacting people via phone. If you're playing in a server where somebody is hacking and an admin can't be reached...just go do something else. These can be excellent fapping opportunities. Also, more people need to take it upon themselves to record and submit demos. There was a hacker in hideout yesterday who I KNOW has been in there two other times (probably more) in the past 3-4 weeks. I don't think anybody recorded and submitted a demo until I did. Submitting conclusive demos helps.

I agree, but at the same time, if you're around but just not on the computer and you can do something to help out, it makes sense. If you don't wish to be bothered on the phone, just disable or don't use the app.
