User CP>Edit Your Details> and in the Steam box, you need to enter a series of numbers similar to this: 76561198000788697
Use HL stats to find that number for your profile, or just visit your home page on steam and It should be in the URL at the end

you can also click the "steam id finder" button under the navbar, to convert and or search for anyones steam id/community id.
