Thread: Some suggestions!

what do you guys think about an automated system where every time someone joins it sends them a private message?

what this message could contain is a welcome to the Noobgalore forums/community/group etc and that we pride ourselves in providing the best gaming experience possible. Under that could be a quick user guide. Perhaps some threads that they could start posting in. These links could include the "introduce yourself," "rules of servers/forums," "join our vent here at ....." and then maybe a link to our page of admins for each server.


i know we have the chatbox feature where you can pm people but what about a little window for chat like facebook has? not really necessary but it would be a nice item to put in.

what about a forum name change request section. under that would have the caption "this must be approved by an SSA"

a background change relating to the release of new games? like when the new half life game comes out. if it ever does. then maybe we can find a picture of gordon or alyx and make it as the forum background?

what about a picture that says vote for us to be top 100 communities. click it and it gets you to the voting poll?

these are just some suggestions. more to come as i find/think of them!

instead of just making a thread "what do you want for christmas? why don't we just open up a section where everyone makes a thread and we can go through and comment on each others? might increase forum activity

not sure if this might help stimulate something. but what about a section titled "Playing Now" where members can come, make a post, and say hey im playing blah come join me to pwn noobs on crackhouse.
