Thread: Rotation server poll(not pole lol dylaxx)

I made a thread already but I did not create a poll. Here is my attempt to make one

so Either yes you are for it

Or no I dont think it is a good idea

If we get enough votes to get this going I will donate $200 dollars.

We have yet to hit our monthly objective goal for this month and cannot spare any additional funds on a new server, not to mention a lot of the work that must be put into to research to scripting/coding it. To be pulling away admins to a server when our current list is kind of thin isn't going to help NG. We have only 1 admin in crackhouse, I mean come on. Maybe one day in the future but definitely not right now.

Egg you maybe right but to be honest when it comes to the more technical stuff it's really up to Adam and the higher admins that know what's going on, cost effectiveness, coding, etc. Right now I feel like this is more like whether or not this is a good idea. Even if we have 100 ppl say yes, if it's not the right time for it due to whatever reason then it's not the right time. Most us players and admins alike can't see the bigger picture b/c we don't have all the facts. We should treat this as just an idea for the time being and see how many ppl think it's a good idea. It would be nice for those that do vote to not just give it a +1 or -1 but to state reasons for it. I do agree with Egg tho about the admin situation. It would need a lot of careful recruiting that would take some time. I love the idea of the rotation server but it will probably take a lil time. Still I'd like to see how many ppl are for it. It's nice to know public opinion so you can plan for the future. <(^_^<)

well. I know for a FACT 4 people who will apply for admin once it happens/if it happens and are waiting to see if it does because they don't see spending the time on one map servers because it is not what they look for in gaming. as well as lots of donations going towards it. the box is already up and it has all been doubled recently. not much more money would be needed if any at all to create a server. But okay

IF this poll gets the required amount of votes to have a rotation server to be considered, I personally do not expect one to be set up over night. I understand there is a structure that NG has to go thru with what ever backdoor stuff that goes along with managing servers. But the fact that there hopefully be 50 + people interested to have a NG Rotation server is enough. It proves that people DO want this. If we are wanting to build on this community then we can't stretch it thin and have it collapse. I get that. But The Rotation server should be considered In work if we get enough votes. Rome wasn't built in a day.

While I do agree that the admin team is kind of short at the moment. The process of setting up a new server shouldnt be that difficult. Copy Paste d2 server and just change the map rotation. Servers aren't really that expensive at a dollar a slot if you just wanted to get one up and running for the time being to see how people react to it. In my experience though Ive only seen one successful rotation server. Which would be Cocaine&Waffles Den of Iniquity (CWDI for short) and that died when some major drama went down. Any attempts to reopen it has failed because the players just arent there.

Hate to sound cynical here, but a lot of good it does posting a poll when Adam isn't gonna pop a new server just because you want one. Just look at the 'similar' threads down below and check out the answers from there, most of them will tell you the same thing here "won't happen until bills are payed'.
