Afk manager kicks in when 38 ppl join the server . it should be 20 or so imo. what do you guys think, + i think it would get rid of most of the afk's. if that is even possible to do. and i mean the option to change it from 38 to 20.

I don't see where it would be a problem to set it for a lower number. There are many occasions during which the server pop is only 20 or so, yet you will find one team with 3-4 afkers. I will sacrifice a virgin (Nugget) to the Noob Gods so that they may give the idea due consideration.

I have noticed that I keep getting kick whilst in spec after three rounds. Afk's in game are not being kicked. I jump in to boost the numbers on the server. Can I have and exemption from being kicked?
Would not mind if the server is totally full but this is not the case.

The AFK Manager applies the same to all servers. Once a server reaches a total of 40+ player, it becomes active. The AFK Manager will only kick spectators after 2-3 rounds if the server is at 40+ players. The reason why Hideout is getting all the kick is because of the 4 server, Hideout is usually the only one at the majority of different time intervals with a large amount of players. Please be aware of that. As for the people that are sitting in spawn/garage that are AFKing, they are actually doing that on purpose because they know that will bypass the AFK Manager for spectators. If you are kick, that means the server was pretty full and needed your slot so please do not be discourage and thank you for helping with increasing traffic. As with the AFKs in rounds, best thing to do is try to reach me or another fellow admins. There are actually a certain number of players that are on my list that I am aware do that to disrupt the game play of the server because they only join to to just be AFK. Those players, I will immediately move them to spectator or kick if (Usually they are like 0-165 and I move them to spectator they rejoin the rounds 3 rounds later to Re-AFK) Those type of players really piss me off and they really must want to just be temp ban since they are being such a-hoes.

ok understood.
yolk, why not just ban them if they do it constantly?
all the do is take up space to never play.

I say we set it at 20. Its becoming a problem there. Especially in hideout and crackhouse. Its apparently the new thing to do in css, join a server and get ready to do a whole lot of jack shit.

Allied Modders has a good AFK Manager. You can set the time intervals for non-movement, etc. Just Google it. Its an EZPZ fox for something that can be annoying. No bans needed and everyone gets a more balanced playing field.

I don't understand the majority of you who make this thread. The title is apparently applies to lower threshold of players being kick. That is call reducing. What you all do not understand that changing it from 38 to something like 20 will mean IT WILL KICK EVEN MORE. That means no players will ever be able to be in spectator PERIOD again. That also means that players will be unable to record demos etc. Right now, Adam has it set at the best threshold possible so it will not go on a kicking frenzy which means this thread makes no sense. Second, why the hell would we want it set to kick players as soon as the server is at 20/44. 20/46. When new people search for games, they don't search for servers like that. The majority of them check the 1-5 open slot meaning they searching for servers close to full. Having it just kick non-stop means we won't ever get new players and that kills growth and list it at the very bottom of list of servers on website like game monitor and gametracker. The reason why we implemented this in the first place is because a lot of you complain that when the server is at full capacity, there are 9 spectators taking up slot for potential other players. That scenario has been taken care of with this implementation.
Another Note: Like I mention earlier, players AFKing during in-game rounds is different and the manager does not flag that so changing the threshold does not apply here. An admin would have to physically move them to spectator/remove them if necessary.
As of Ravi - Thank you Ravi for helping with server traffic. Your kick was because you were able to help achieve the threshold and we are sorry ahead of time. You were not randomly picked. Adam I believe is working on a plugin for donators to be immune to the AFK manager. As of right now, only admins can bypass the AFK Manager.
