Thread: No-Block on Hideout

Alright well there are a lot of people on the hideout server and most of the time it's full, which is great, but when it gets full like that people tend to get in the way, so maybe it's a good idea to have no-block disabled? anyone else agree with me?

No-Block is what allows people to walk through each other. I actuall raided the question my self about a month ago and they said no.

I would have to disagree with you. i know people bitch and moan about getting block but this is what set hideout different from other server. It the server uniqueness. I love hideout because of the way it is set up. I've play in other server that enabled no block and i really hated it. I say leave the server the way it is and have fun

No block makes a lot of servers all weird. People get stuck with nades, knife kills don't register, etc.

I just learn to get the hell out of the way when someone needs to get through a door (usually if they're being shot at or a nade is flying by). I expect the same from others who play to do the same; if they can't well they will eventually learn.

Well guys I didn't mean put no-block on forever, i just mean mix it up a little bit, you know just enabled no-block for like a month or something.

This would limit the ability of terrorists to camp. We would have to just line up in paper instead of stack on the shelves! :O

I agree with you 100% moose. If you enabled no block it would mean no more camping and seeing how people stack in paper one by one is so much fun. Great time great time. Love Hideout. Leave Hideout the way it is

On a more serious note, I don't see the point in it. It's not a deathmatch. Without noblock you are forced to be more conscious about your surroundings instead of running around thinking you are the boss. Sure you wouldn't get blocked, but it creates a bigger issue. Think about the grenade usage.

Grenades are a huge part of hideout. But with noblock, you can get stuck instead of blocked. You can generally run around a block. When you're stuck on a grenade, you're pretty much shit out of luck. Also, I've had moments where noblock allows team members to run through me and block the shots I'm making at an enemy while allowing him to get shots at both of us.

Noblock does not prevent stupidity and accidents. It actually creates more pathways too them while limiting your ability to reach certain spots that you need a boost to get to. In maps like crack house, there isn't much need for a boost. My advice is if the server is full, hang back a bit and let the herd get thinned down or lead the charge. If that doesn't. Help, then bait your team. Sounds bad, but we all do it at some point.

Maybe it would give the terrorist a chance to rethink their strategy, instead of being in paper and projector all the time.

Come on lets get some all time CT's in here commenting, you guys play Terrorist all the time and are against it only because it would lower your advantages. Lets be honest here, the ak is more accurate, and more powerful than the m4. I don't care if someone says the m4 is more accurate, it's not. Not to mention most of the good regulars go terrorist and stack that team, why cant we get no block so we could at least try to balance out the skill? Not meaning to disrespect anybody, just saying on a CT point of view and anyone who plays CT as much as me, would agree to no-block.

Well I like to contribute to the team and waiting for all of them to die is not helping anything, but of course they do get in the way sometimes and there is nothing I can do about it, but no-block would somewhat help that situation.
