Thread: Monthly rank resets.

Rank is fun and it motivates a lot of people, but when it's 1000+ points to go up one rank it's fairly annoying. Perhaps we can look this over and get them reset monthly or every 3 months.

Lol noo never!! I worked so hard past 4 months over 460 hours to get to rank 72 lol... right now for me its like 11,000 points to go up 4 ranks or so.

no offense this is by far the worse idea. no point spending so much time over the years they have to get their rank just to lose it haha.

new comers just have to live with the fact they are far behind.

Yeah true what Dylaxx said. If people are motivated by improving their ranks, even new people, then they will play more and more to rise in ranks, therefore, creating more traffic for the server and keeping players on longer.

Yeah, a lot of guys who play here years just to be in the forever Top 10 deserve to be in that category and rank. Players with high ranking just show they are highly committed to the server and they are regulars. Resetting them doesn't really serve a purpose beside a new guy coming in to have their name rank 1 or something for like a week and then disappear is kinda pointless.

Resetting would diminish the value of the ranks

If a rank reset were to occur, I would only want one reset for another year at least. Every month would just discourage people from trying to get rank 1 or top 10 and lose interest, some people do care about their rank. Although I think the points are soooo high right now its a little ridiculous to rank up. I think I need like 900 for the next rank haha.

Never thought this suggestion would come up. I think by far the worst idea. Here's my opinion, I play in hideout well over 3 and a half years now just to get to 2nd place overall. If someone reset and I have to begin my rank as all the other noob, I would be really piss. No Offense but people who really played hard in their server deserve to keep their rank.

there was once a time where resets would happen like monthly... I am sure there are people who are in the top 20 or so and can go MIA for a year and keep that rank because the scoring is so high it takes forever to go up one rank. If you were really commited to the server like you say you are keeping your top 10 rank wouldnt be hard to do since you would be on everyday anyways. Resetting the rank makes it more of a challenge to keep your rop tank. Just sitting there and not having to worry about #11 taking #10 from you in less than day takes away all the thrill. More fun imo to have resets
