Thread: damage indicator

i love playing on any ng server but one thing i liked about a few others is that when u attack a player it shows the damage u did in a box in the lower middl part of the screen, would be way cool to add that here

I know it could be cool to have such a thing, but at the same time, it kinda ruins the game because you can use it to know where the enemy is. For example, you just throw a grenade in and wait for the hit marker or shoot through the wall and you'll know there is somebody. So overall, even though its interesting to see the damage of your hits, I don't think it is a good idea to get that box which shows where the enemy is.

with short range nades you can hear if someone gets hit if you have a good headset

Yea I know you can hear it sometimes, but not always, compared to damage indicator which will always tell you.

If i am not mistaken i believe we have a hitbox that displays who killed you, who you killed, and damaged cause to and by you.

he is referring to an indicator as soon as the damage is done, not the menu that pops up after you die showing all the damage of that round.
