Thread: 24/7 SOCCER Server needs to be fixed

hi, I'm Eric, and I'm new here, but an old vet when it comes to CS and CSS. I have been playing in your 24/7 noob galore soccer server for years. I was in the CSS soccer league for 4 seasons and a League Official for 2, and is now known as PSL.

The server mentioned has been broke for over a week now. Could someone reset it?

What's wrong with it you ask?
Well, when a team scores it doesn't reset with the ball in the middle, like normal. Also, sometimes people can't join a team, instead it shows them die, and a ghost version is hovering over there deceased body and is unable to move. The server has become very vacant b/c of this, and thought you guys should know.

If you need an admin to help out with it, I would be happy to. I have been given admin to many servers per my reputation(bhop, deathmatch, soccer, trikz), and owned and ran a trikz server myself for some time. Anyways I don't the rules of becoming an admin, I may look them up later.

Thanks for coming by the forums to show your concern. We''re aware of the problems, and unfortunately there isn't much we can do to fix the issues atm. One of the latest CS:S updates screwed up a lot of server mods, Soccer being one of them. As soon as there's a fix the server will be running normally again.

If your interested in admin, just check out the admin recruitment section of the forums.

i vaguely remember hearing about that. I know several other servers are running soccer with no problems, so I don't know what to say about nothing can be done. Maybe different map? If someone cared i'm sure they could figure it out. I guess I'll be that guy.

Sad thing with that is even if you do get admin, You won't get the privelages you think you would. Only the higher ups have the power to actually change the server info. If you want though, you could research and find out if it's a problem on other servers, or how they fixed it.

From there, you could pass it along and we could try and implement it into the server to see if it works. Aside from that, not much else you could do sadly =/

You could still APP for admin, just have to jump into vent and get your post count up a bit. I'm sure if you find a fix for this, it would give you brownie points (but what do I know)
