Thread: Vent Registration

Heyo,
Just registering up for Vent
I have to open ports 24 hours before use for Security reasons at University.

Is the vent server port TCP? or UDP =/. Ive totally forgotten through a brain fart.
Tutorial explains what port it is, but i can only access 1 port, otherwise i have to wait 24 hours to switch it to TCP/UDP. At least this security gives me an awesome connection speed .;
Hopefully when setup, i can join tomorrow ^^.

These are my Current Ports:
* tcp 3724 World Of Warcraft
* tcp 6112 World Of Warcraft Updates
* tcp 3978 Ventrilo
* udp 3978 Ventrilo
* udp 6100 Ventrilo
* udp 27015-27024 steam
* udp 2008 ventrilo
* tcp 27030-27039 steam

If you can Remove any, that can still allow me to talk on ventrilo, play wow and CSS ill be grateful!
Currently can only use 10 Ports. 1 for a single port. 2 for a chain.

Wondering if there been any discussion to help me out with this situation.
Would love to spend time with you all in Vent channel, and wish to know the community better. All help will not be overlooked and very much appreciated. British Guy loves you all <3

You would need to open both TCP and UDP on port 2008

thats the problem, i dont have enough room for the TCP port =[
i need to remove one of the other ports but still be able to play WoW, and CSS fine, with that other Vent channel also open.

Any help would be appreciated

YES WOW is for virgins

Wow has my Place, I still really enjoy it with my friends , were casual but i have a different timezone , CSS late at night, is usually the peak hours of when most of my common friends are in hideout .
But if possible!, anyways to have wow,vent and steam working unisinc ?

Just use ranges? For example, ventrilo udp you can consolidate to: UDP 2000_7000 & TCP 2000_7000 and keep the rest.

I think im gonna try switching UDP

27015-27024 to just
27015. this should free up my port for TCP 2008
