    Arrow Tutorial: How to Normalize Sound on Vent!

    Okay, so I'm sure everyone has people that are extremely loud, and or extremely quiet in vent.

    This is a tutorial on exactly how to normalize your ventrilo sound, so everyone is the exact same.

    Step 1: Click the "Setup" button, on the right side of vent. On the top right corner of the Voice tab, you will see a button that says "Use Direct Sound", if it is unchecked, check it.



    Step 2: Once you've checked that box, click the SFX button above, and add "Compressor".



    Step 2 (cont): After you've added Compressor, a window will pop up with a bunch of bars. Use these settings.

    - Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. (I use 15)

    - Attack = 0.01

    - Release = Around 500

    - Threshold = Around -30

    - Ratio = 100

    - Pre delay = 4.0


    Step 3: Click Ok on all the windows. Congratulations, your vent is now normalized and your ear will never hurt again.


    YOU MUST REMOVE ALL VOLUME EFFECTS (+/-) ON A PERSON TO MAKE THIS WORK.

    Cool thanks man. Hope this fixes some peoples loud voices and fixes some peoples really low voices that are hard to hear.

    So it basically detects whether a person's inbound is high or low, then converts/normalizes it to the users favored setting right?

    I forgot to mention it only works on people you do not previously have turned up/down. If you have a person that you have used volume on, remove it, and it will work.
