How to successfully mute people in Hideout.

Can’t mute people in hideout? There’s an easy fix for that. If you don’t update your game people can’t mute you and you can’t mute them.

First Solution

Open Steam.

Check for updates on Steam.

Update Steam.

Restart your computer.

Open Steam.

Try to play Counter-Strike: Source.

Or

Go to your Library.

Click on Counter-Strike: Source.

Right click and scroll down to properties.

Click Local Game Files.

Click Verify Integrity of Game Cache (this will update whatever is missing).

Second Solution

Open Steam.

Click Library on the top right.

Right click on the game Counter-Strike: Source.

Click Properties at the bottom of the drop down menu.

Click on Browse Local Files.

Delete the folder that says bin and the folder that says cstrike. (This contains files including the audio library, sound files etc) Also delete files in the Hl2 folder that say sound.vpk in it, or you can delete the entire hl2 file (the file is 1.6 gb).

Once you have deleted those files go back to the Properties window for Counter-Strike: Source.

Click on the button that says Verify Integrity of Game Cache. (This will re-download the files and hopefully fix your problem).

Third Solution

Un-install and reinstall the game.

Hideout is not broken. You just have to update your game.
