Thread: VOTEBAN box!

Can we please have a voteban option added to the server? It would only be a temporary ban since it wont be guaranteed that a demo will be posted on the site.

This will prevent the server from being deserted when a hacker comes on with no admins!

PLEASE consider this. I think we should take a poll?

Last time that that was up because of the updates, i got banned 2 times from Hideout GO because some trollbag thought it would be funny.

Admins are pretty damn easy to find. Here on the forums, in Vent, or on steam..
If you can't find one, record a demo and it will be taken care of.

But vote ban/kick would get so many regular good players kicked/banned because they're putting a heavy beat down on a few kids who then claim OMG HAXXZ..

Enabling voteban/votekick.....that would mean the servers are a democracy...they are not. Give democracy to idiot noobs and there will be no judge, jury or executioner just people who vote ban those they think are cheating/don't like. That will never happen at galore unless anja or suid let the robots take over

No clue why this thread showed up as bumped to me, I imagine people are still just voting on it? --Wierd...However, to address it seeing how I didn't do so before.

I commend you properly requesting something, giving a reason, supporting it, and asking for your fellow community members to support it. 99% of people looking for something to be done, do nothing but scream --- So for that I thank you.

However, kbot pretty much does hit the nail on the head there -- it becomes far to abusive. We have always relied on human interaction.

We have discussed this being a donator perk however. We'll get back to you on that.



Getting to the root of the problem however, is that we are attempting to rebuild, and recruit more people for Dust2 - which is the proper way to solve the problem. So, with that being said, if you become interested, or see guys that are interested-- suggest they hop on the forums and get to know the community more and give it a shot! We'd much rather humans, over automation---and I'm sure our server population would appreciate it as well.

Again, thanks for properly submitting a request, it makes your plea that much more approachable and legitimate.
