Thread: Lower buy time?

I realized that the buy time is 30 seconds which is a very long time. CT's constantly re-buy nades, and with infinite money it gets very annoying.

I can get in ct spawn in about 15 seconds. That gives them about 15 more nades to throw at me.Per person.

I can get in range of nades being thrown from CT spawn in about 10 seconds, which gives them 20 more nades to throw per person.

Please lower the buy time to 10 or 15 seconds. Nobody will need 30 seconds to buy, I can promise you that.

I know admins enforce that rule, but there aren't always admins on. 90% of the time when I am playing there isn't one on

ye, and if u lower the buying time noone cant respawn after getting killed after 1 sec

Yes, that is another problem that happens alot. With up to 25 people on t side, someone is almost guaranteed to be picked jumping across to b(on ct side). Then they retry, buy weapons, and jump back across like nothing ever happened.

Sadly I'd have to not agree with the time limit. The reason being to me the time being so long, is so you're not rushed into buying guns as quick as a scrim. I fuck up alot with my guns, or I mess up with my binds, and enjoy the fact I can run back to spawn and buy the correct gun instead of scavenging the floor for it.

With the flash bangs and such, it's a pain in the ass I know. But the truth is the same can be said for T's. They can buy up to 4/ 6 flashbangs and just launch em all over the Long A wall... imagine 200-400 of them (50 People).

As far as the re-spawning, it'll happen no matter what and they will be caught. They will get warned, kicked, then banned, and if they are repeat offenders from previous days they'll be banned as we have a watchdog thread warning us of such offenders.

but i agree, not that i play ng dust2 that often, but when i do play on servers with lower buy times it can really be annoying to try and trade my ak for a p90 then find out there's a 15 second time limit :/

Ok, how about this. Go into game, and sit in spawn for 15 seconds. It is a really long time, and even people that pick mid are gone by then. You have plenty of time if you mess up buying a gun. There are binds, and you can push numbers. I know that if I want an ak, deagle, and all the accessories, I would push b42, b14,b62,b63,b63,b64,b65. I can do that in under 3 seconds. Or, I can just bush ba, and it buys it all in 1 second.

I can also buy all those with my mouse in about 10 seconds...30 seconds is just unnecisary.

If you join the server within the first 20 seconds of the round you spawn into the game, if the buy time is 15 seconds you can't buy anything. 30 seconds lets you buy guns if that does happen, and I know it happens to me a lot when I join the server.

Ok, I agree with you on that, but how many times does this happen to you...Out of a 3:00 game time, what are the odds of spawning before 2:40...I think it has happened to me 1 time out of the week or so I have been on the servers.

Happens pretty often actually, and I know it happens to other players too, and even if it happens rarely to other players, they should still be able to buy guns.
