Thread: d2 regs.. what do you want?!?

I got one, if you are afk for 2 rounds you are moved to spectate, and if you are in spectate for 3 more rounds you are kicked from the server.

I see a lot of people going afk during the game sometimes 3-4 people on a team for lots of rounds which stops auto balancing for a while. Also see a lot of people sit in spectate, which really does nothing.

I also know NG is known for the $16k we provide maybe it makes sense to implement a limit the amount of money so AWPS are not so readily available. I am unsure of the renewal of cash threshold but maybe it needs to be adjusted.

Glad that AWPs wont be limited though lol. My favorite part of the server is the no weapon restriction and !bling.

Other than that I would agree with implementing a mod/addon that forces people to spectator after x amount of inactive rounds.

what happens if an admin is demoing someone? lol

also you see a lot of admins in spec because they're not at home but want to help increase the # of ppl in the server to attract others to join....

what a lot of d2 regs don't understand (and i'm on targeting you.. but in general) is that noobgalore focuses on traffic. we want to have full servers...

plus we have a system to deal with hackers. our policy is that they are innocent until proven guilty.

for some reason more than other servers.. players who join dust2 care more about who's hacking than actually playing. shit even i've been accused of being a hacker because i kept killing this one guy with headshots.

back to your suggestion.. no one likes being kicked for no reason. and it makes no difference if someone is in spec anyways... but i do agree that a few players love to go afk all the time. i don't know what's so hard to press m, 6 to go to spec or type spectate in console

Well for the voteban, it could be a 1 hours ban or something along those lines, not a permanent thing. As for admins they should have extended time in the spec because I do realize they need time to take demos. But in reality if you have Vote anything on the server admins shouldn't be sitting in spec unless they are demoing, or afk for a couple mins cause in reality it does take away from the game for the people in the servers who are being harassed by hackers/spammers/ect..

I do understand that more traffic is great, obviously because more people = more regs which in turns = more people on the forums , and donations come in more, but at the same time maybe there can be something done about the voting system, possibly even if an admin is in you can do a vote well anything but it gives a pop up to the admin giving them to the option to cancel if they are infact in spec demoing someone who is breaking the server rules.

I understand that server traffic is important, you could even just put afk for 2-3 rounds puts you in spec, but you're not removed from the server, still keeps the sever looking populated.. But the auto balance is a feature of the server for purposes of making the game more fun to the people who go there, and it won't take effect properly if you have people afking for extended periods of time. It decreases server traffic because if frustrates people o:. Ive seen it happen many times.

I don't understand why admins in spec are such a threat... I understand that oh there is an admin in spec and he is not banning someone for hacking but almost always you can find an admin. Whether it is on vent or in forums you can usually find an admin that can come and take a look.

Non-Admins can demo and post the demo as well.

I don't find it a threat, When i have a problem on servers i do demo and submit, or call an admin, and generally they promptly come in. I'm just saying not everyone in the server does this, and they constantly whine /spam / ect which ruins game play for other people in the server.

It was just a suggestion, which the thread is for, I wanted it to have a fair chance rather than being automatically dismissed without discussion.

No it was nothing against your suggestion. I may have come across the wrong way. I do see it in d2. People always say why werent you here 15 min ago when we had a hacker on.

My point is more we need to get d2 regs more involved like yourself. Show them we have vent and the forums and that there are ways to get admins.
